Criminal intelligence units and oversight

Intelligence that keeps the rules it’s held to

Criminal intelligence units work under strict rules about what may be kept, searched and shared. DataLogiX ties every subject search to a stated purpose, keeps every disclosure in a signed log, and brings records up for review on the schedule your rules set.

What’s at stake

Where the work gets stuck today.

Searches outrun their justification

A search about a person should rest on a purpose and a reason, recorded before it runs.

Disclosures are hard to account for

When a product is shared, the unit must show who received it, why, and under which rule.

Retention depends on someone remembering

Records that should be reviewed or purged sit in systems no one checks on schedule.

Questions we hear

Who can see the search history?

People your rules name as oversight. They see who searched, for what purpose, and the outcome, without seeing the subject unless they search for it themselves.

Can a search be blocked?

Yes. Searches for certain kinds of subject, purposes or identifiers can be refused, or held until a second person approves.

How are records purged?

Records come up for review on the schedule your records rules set, and a person validates or purges each one. Every decision is recorded, and a hold for a case or a legal matter stops a purge.
